While living in Korea for 2 years, a food that I missed the most was the American breakfast at a diner. This one was particularly delicious because before the day we drove 14 hours straight: there was no motel, hotel between Idaho to Oregon! We got lucky that we found this nice hotel, Hotel Prairie, and the manager let us in: it was close to midnight. The manager has to drive from her house in her sweatpants to hotel to open the door for us and checked us in.
Around Bend, OR is the home of craft brewing companys. Go to Google map, found Bend, Oregon and see how many breweries in that area. You will be surprised! We just stopped at this brewery because it was on the way to Eugene, OR.

The famous Oregon wine region, Willamette Valley, is located between Portland to Eugene. We visited several wineries for tasting, lunch & weekend live music. It was smoky due to the wild fire for a while but got little better when we went to the wineries.

My friend mother's delicious Zongzi It was all mine: I have a crustacean allergy so she omitted the dried shrimp :) 드레곤 보트 축제할때 먹는다고하던데 너무 맛있어여~ 찹쌀에 맛있는거 다 넣고 이렇게 묶어서 쪄서 먹는. 울 나라 약식을 안달게해서 고기, 새우 등등 넣고 찐거라고 보시면 되요. 완전 맛있어요! 대만가면 드셔보세요. 그래도 엄마가 집에서 만든거라 더 완전 짱이라는거!

Food writer J. Kenji López-Alt restaurant in SM. Food was good, interior was awesome, and I like the concept but this restaurant was SUPER noisy when we were having the lunch: there was less than 15 people total in this restaurant. Hope they fix the noise level. I sound like a very old lady :P

It's hard to find a WSET sake class that works with your schedule. It was a perfect timing for us. The teacher was great, all the Sake was delicious and I learned a lot. I passed with 100%, woohoo~~~.

This cocktail bar has many delicious food that goes well with their cocktails. The cocktail lists are very unique. We tried several and finally we ordered Sidecar and guess what! It was the best of them all :) - Sidecar cocktail wasn't on the menu.

We stopped at this town since it was getting late and found a good price motel. Surprise! Next to the motel has this diner, JohnnyB's restaurant and we had the bestest Philly cheese steak sandwich with green chili.

With all the restaurants and bars in SF, we've been to this pub the most :) Almost every other afternoon, we went to this pub, drink beer, play our board game, Stoneage the best game ever for two people, and eat food. The service was amazing and it's the perfect place for playing board game.
Chili on burger is the bomb! 햄버거에도 청고추 짱! 울 나랑 청고추보다는 덜맵고 더 큰 해치고추라고 합니당 에나하임 고추랑 같은 애에요.
Infamouse Horseman's Haven cafe :) They have the most spicy green chili in Santa Fe. I couldn't finish my dish and I am a Korean and I love spicy food - I ordered level 2. It was delicious though. I took togo and add more fried egg on top and finished it at home. There is Level 3 chili sauce that I am afraid to taste but you could! 여기 완전 동네 식당인데요 소스를 매운맛 3등급으로 나눠서 시킬수 있는요. 저는 2단계도 다 못먹었어요.

I have to say this place has better tapas but cocktails were so much better at El Farol. This restaurant also has live music and shows. Check their calendar!

If you ever visit Albuquerque or/and Santa Fe, you must go to see Flamenco show. We went to El Flamenco, El Farol, El Meson & Tablao Flamenco Albuquerque several times and Yjastros performance. We were very lucky to see all performance by talented dancers, musicians & singers. We even saw the performance by the world famous singer and dancer from Spain. I was so excited when I met them at a lady's room in Tablao Flamenco! Irena added me on her FB as a friend :)
Texas
Who knew, this small ghostown is the birth place of chili cookoffs! This is the closest town to the Big Band Nationa Park. We stayed several day between this ghost town and Nuevo Terlingua.
Everyday we went to this restaurant; great music, yummy food, cheap margaritas! This chili was super yummy, Texan style= no beans!
I didn't eat this but the skinny guy next to our table did! He didn't finish it though.

The light wasn't good for the photos so I don't have many photos to show you but this brewery was awesome. Very nice interior, plenty of parking space outside. This is Famous Fried Snapper Throats and it was really delicious! 이 생선 딱 목쪽만 튀긴건데요 완전 맛있어요! 울 나라 라면스프를 생선튀김에 뿌린맛 ㅋ 아시겠죠? 뭔맛인지 ㅋ

A-Must restaurant in NOLA for sure. We really appriciated a professional fine dining server. It's hard to find one lately at a restaurant. Food, drink and everything were perfect. Even we enjoyed the ride a Uber :) First time ever we tried and the driver was awesome.

The grilled oyster was the best ever 생긴지 얼마 않됐는데 완전 맛있는 돼지고기 전문점. 근디 음식이 느무 다 짜서 저녁내내 물 완전 마시고 다음날 팅팅 뿌러서 일어났어요
Food were generally super salty - it seems like all the porky restaurants do but yummy. We had the best gumbo at this place: super smoky and dark!

Delicious Middle Eastern cuisine. It's on hip & cool neighborhood on Magazine st. All food was delicious. Our plantation tour guide recommended this place; she was a foodie french lady and I am glad that I followed her advice. She recommended Bayona, Compère Lapin, Saba & St. Roch market.

Student whom I thought in Woosong College in Korea is doing an internship in Memphis and we had a chance to meet for BBQ. Unfortunately all the famous dry-rub BBQ is closed; we were in Memphis from Sunday to Tuesday morning and most of them were closed on Sunday and Monday and open Tuesday night T.T. This place was decent but not the best. Neverthless, it was nice to see my student and finally try the famous BBQ that I've been craving since I read John Grisham books :)

Nashville was wonderful and we didn't expect that. Sadly we were there for only 3 night. It's a booming foodie city and we took a brief downtow tour and it was wonderful! I highly recommend this tour - other toursmust be very good too.

I had no idea that Nashville is famous for the HOT chicken. And it was HOT. I got the second spicy one and barely finished it. I needed all the sides, coleslaw, Mac & cheese and greens. But surely it was delicious! 이집 매운튀긴닭 예술!
Wondering how American's eat at home but no American family invite you for a meal? Go to Monell :P My husband's uncle and his cousins used to live in Nashville and they all said we must go to Monell and many other people we met at the food tour recommended too. No Cellphone at this restaurant but I asked for a permission :P Basically All-you-can eat at a table with other guest. We went for a breakfast but I can see that it'd be great for lunch and dinner. Next time! Another reason to go back to Nashville!

This is it! All the food that we tried and looks good on photos. We were back to Ithaca on Christmas eve and spent few days with in-law's place in Rochester. After 10 days, we finally finished organizing our home perfectly. We thought we were sick and tired of traveling, alas, it turned out we needed more adventures. So great to live "near" in American sense, NYC.

My first NY bagel! I've been to NYC several time and this was the first time I had one. Strange....
It's very nice to just walk to local bagel shop and get super yummy bagel sandwiches.
After all the BBQ we had during the road trip, this BBQ place was the best of them all. We must have a taste for city BBQ :P Their burn brisket-tip bean is to die for! 그렇게 바베큐를 먹고 돌아왔는데 이집을 내슈빌에 세프가 자기 친구가 하는 곳인데 아주 괜찮다고 추천해서 가봤는데요, 완전 감동. 사실 먹었던곳중 이곳이 젤로 맛있었던것 같아요
